LCC Norwegian Air Shuttle took delivery of its 100th direct buy Boeing 737-800, the last of this aircraft type in its fleet, as it prepares for a large influx of more fuel-efficient Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

Aviation Capital Group took delivery of the first of two Boeing 787-9s on long-term lease to El Al Israel Airlines. The second aircraft is scheduled to deliver this fall.

German Operating Aircraft Leasing (GOAL) arranged a sale and leaseback transaction for six A320neo aircraft with Denver-based Frontier Airlines. The first two aircraft were delivered to the airline in November and December 2017. The remaining four aircraft are scheduled to be delivered during 2018. GOAL also arranged a sale and leaseback transaction of two used Airbus A330-300 aircraft with Rolls Royce Trent 700 engines with Bogota-based Avianca.

Irish lessor Avolon delivered one Airbus A320neo aircraft to Air India. This is the eighth Avolon aircraft on lease to Air India.

SMBC Aviation Capital signed a deal with India’s Jet Airways for the sale and leaseback of 13 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft; the first aircraft is set to deliver in August 2018. The new aircraft will be powered by CFM International LEAP-1B engines.

Ukraine International Airlines received its first Boeing 777-200ER from lessor AerCap, equipped with Panasonic individual IFE system. The 361-seat aircraft will operate on long-haul routes to New York, Beijing and Bangkok.
