Russian airlines carried 30.5 million passengers in January-April 2018, up 12.4% year-over-year (YOY).

International traffic rose 14.5% to 11.8 million; domestic traffic reached 18.7 million, up 11.1% YOY. Load factor increased 1.3 points to 80.7%. Cargo and post traffic was down 0.5% to 343,888 tonnes.  

Individual airlines report the following January-April traffic figures:

Aeroflot Airline carried 10.2 million, up 6% YOY.

Sibir Airlines carried 3.1 million, up 17.8%. Globus, which also works under S7 Airlines brand, carried 1.2 million, down 9.9%.

St. Petersburg-based Aeroflot subsidiary Rossiya Airlines 2.6 million, down 6.7% YOY.

Utair Aviation carried 2.3 million, up 12.5%.

Ural Airlines carried 2.3 million, up 22.2%.

The total market share of Russia’s five biggest airlines declined to 67.2% from 69.9% in the four-month period.
