AirTran Airways' customer service representatives, ramp workers and reservations agents filed with the National Mediation Board for representation by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters yesterday. The work groups number 2,400 employees, and excluding salaried and management staff are the last nonunionized employees at AirTran. The carrier's mechanics, stock clerks and tech training instructors already had affiliated with the Teamsters.
