Carbon Concerns

The Australian Aviation Associations Forum (AAAF) has expressed disappointment and concern at the Australian government’s proposed clean energy future (CEP) plan, describing its associated tax as “onerous, regressive and discriminatory against aviation relative to other sectors of the economy.”

The AAAF said that it was concerned that the government had not consulted the aviation industry and that it had described the aviation industry as one of around 500 big polluters and a key contributor to greenhouse gas emissions.
