Turkish Airlines reported a 2009 net profit of TRY559.1 million ($369.5 million), down 50.7% from the TRY1.13 billion it earned in 2008, according to selected financial results released to the Istanbul Stock Exchange. Revenue increased 15% to TRY7.04 billion from TRY6.12 billion in 2008 and operating profit rose 12% to TRY832 million. The carrier grew its fleet by 4% during the year to 132 aircraft.
