Long-haul, low-cost FlyA slated for 2013 launch

Founder and former CEO of Swiss regional airline Baboo Julian Cook is planning to launch a new airline called FlyA in summer 2013. Cook told ATW the carrier will “basically be a long-haul, low-cost, Europe-based airline that will apply the low-cost model. We are looking at initial fares of €69 ($86) one-way, without tax,” he said. FlyA will operate Airbus A330-300s, densely configured with 400-440 seats, between Europe and North America.
