Air Canada completes $1 billion debt offering

Air Canada said it received C$1.075 billion ($1.05 billion) in net proceeds after fees, expenses and discounts from a previously announced private offering of senior secured notes. The offering consisted of $600 million principal amount of 9.25% senior secured first lien notes due 2015, C$300 million principal amount of 10.125% senior secured first lien notes due 2015, and $200 million principal amount of 12% senior secured second lien notes due 2016.
