Turkish Airlines has launched its 39th destination in Africa with a 4X-weekly Istanbul Ataturk-Cotonou, Benin services routed via Abidjan. Cotonou became the carrier’s 26th country in Africa and is the carrier’s 107th nation and 256th destination. CEO Temel Kotil previously told ATW the carrier “strongly believes in Africa.” The carrier will serve up to 50 destinations in Africa. Growing in Africa is essential for Turkish Airlines’ network, he said.
