Norwegian Air Shuttle has selected Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines for nine additional leased Boeing 787-9 aircraft. This brings the total number of Norwegian’s Trent 1000-powered Boeing 787s to 17. According to Rolls-Royce, the Scandinavian airline has also ordered long-term TotalCare service support for engines powering the nine aircraft, worth $440 million.
