Irish lessor Avolon has finalized an order for six Boeing 787-9s and five 737 MAX 9s, valued at more than $2.1 billion at list prices. The deal builds on a commitment, which was inked during the 2014 Farnborough Airshow in July and marks Avolon’s first firm order for the 787. Dublin-based Avolon has now committed to a total of 20 737 MAXs with this latest order. In September 2012, it firmed an order for 10 Boeing 737 MAX-8s, five 737 MAX-9s and 10 737-800 NextGen aircraft.
