Canada's Transportation Safety Board began an investigation into Tuesday's runway overrun accident at Toronto Pearson International Airport (ATWOnline, Aug. 2). All 309 passengers and crew aboard AF Flight 358 escaped serious injury in the accident, which occurred during a thunderstorm at around 4:10 p.m. local time.
