Cathay Pacific Airways yesterday placed an order for 10 747-8 freighters and seven additional 777-300ERs collectively valued at $5.2 billion. CX already had 19 777-300ERs on order and has committed to leasing four more of the type through a third party, making it Asia's largest 777-300ER customer.
