US industry chiefs lauded former JetBlue Airways CEO Dave Barger in June when he was presented with the 2016 L. Welch Pogue Lifetime Achievement Award, awarded by the International Aviation Club (IAC) of Washington DC and Aviation Week & Space Technology.

Barger joined a long line of preeminent Welch Pogue Award recipients who have helped shape modern commercial air transportation.

This year’s award was presented at a dinner in Washington DC by Aviation Week Network president Greg Hamilton and IAC president Tulinda Larsen.

During the ceremonies, video tributes were played from multiple US airline CEOs and industry organizations. You can view those here.
