Illinois RTA sues United, American Airlines for operating ‘sham’ offices

The Regional Transport Authority of northeastern Illinois (RTA) has filed a lawsuit against American Airlines and United Airlines. RTA alleges the two carriers are operating “sham” offices in Sycamore, Ill. to avoid paying higher taxes in Chicago. Both airlines said the claims are without merit....
