Airlink, a charity non-profit organisation headquartered in Washington, D.C., is hosting 15 minute session in the Go LIVE Theater at our MRO Americas event, on the exhibition hall floor at the McCormick Convention Center in Chicago on April 9 at 4:30pm. Sandra Walter, the charity's Director of Development, will give a talk about the global impact of aviation from a humanitarian aid perspective.

For example, Airlink continues to coordinate the movement of critically needed aid to Afghanistan where most of the population are struggling to meet even basic needs. Vulnerable populations across Afghanistan are at additional risk during winter months because they are left exposed to deadly temperatures and vulnerable to health risks. 

There were 10 tons of health supplies given on behalf of INTERSOS and MEDAIR working with airline partners including Kam Air, Philippine Airlines, Turkish Airlines Cargo, and Qatar Airways Cargo.
