Varig creditors rejected the carrier's sale to Docas Investimentos, a fund owned by newspaper owner Nelson Tanure, who paid $112 million for a 25% stake in Varig SA and a 10-year "lease" on an additional 42% (ATWOnline, Dec. 14).
