Courtesy photo West Africa’s newest carrier, Gambia Bird (3G), launched scheduled services across West Africa and into Europe Oct. 22, one week later than planned (ATW Daily News, Sept. 27). The Banjul-based carrier (BJL) operates Airbus A319 flights to Accra, Monrovia, Dakar, Freetown, Conakry, London Gatwick and Barcelona. Flights to Lagos will begin shortly.
