Two carriers of the Tatarstan republic in Russia’s Volga region will merge, the area’s president has announced. Tatarstan president Rustam Minnikhanov said Tatarstan Air (U9), which is based in the republic’s capital of Kazan, and Ak Bars Aero (2B), based in the city of Bugulma, will be merged.
