Liebherr Develops MRO Paperless Shop Software
Liebherr-Aerospace has developed proprietary service center software called eLIROM dedicated to processing all repair activities, which it says has the potential to increase process efficiency by 30%. eLIROM’s digitalized workflow collects and analyzes MRO activities across Liebherr’s network in real time and the company says it will enable identification of best practices and better efficiency.

Bell Expands Helicopter MRO Presence in China
Bell Textron has acquired Zhenjiang Aerochine Aviation Limited, which it says will increase its helicopter MRO capabilities in China. The acquisition will enable Bell to provide MRO services to operators in China for Bell 407 and 206 helicopter models, with plans to add all operational and legacy models in the future.

Unison and AAR Extend Distributor Partnership
Unison Industries has re-selected AAR as its exclusive distributor for OEM replacement parts such as turbine ignition systems, sensors, switches, wiring harnesses and metal tubing/ducting. The 11-year agreement includes 24/7 AOG call center support and repair services management backed by AAR’s supply chain and customer support network.

GA Telesis Partners with Liebherr on E-Jet Maintenance
GA Telesis has signed an agreement with Liebherr-Aerospace covering material support and maintenance services for the Embraer E-Jet family of aircraft. Under the agreement, GA Telesis will receive technical support and original OEM materials to repair and overhaul landing gears for operators in the Americas out of its MRO Services Miami facility.

PAS MRO Moving to Oklahoma
PAS MRO has announced plans to relocate from Irvine, California to Bristow, Oklahoma by November, where it plans to create 37 new jobs. The independent bearing and component MRO noted the area’s availability of highly trained MRO workers and proximity to its customer base as factors in the relocation decision.

CSAT Signs Base Maintenance Agreement With Finnair
Czech Airlines Technics has signed a new base maintenance agreement with Finnair covering the carrier’s Airbus A320 family fleet at Vaclav Havel Airport Prague. The three year agreement includes performance of all planned checks and repairs, as well as possible modifications of the aircraft cabin.

Rolls-Royce Reaches Zero AOG Milestone
Rolls-Royce says it has reached a milestone position where there are zero Boeing 787 aircraft on the ground due to Trent 1000 durability-related issues. The engine OEM says it is increasing spare engine availability, offering modifications for improved compressor and turbine blades, and training airline engineers to perform remote engine inspections using Librestream digital visualization technology.

Brussels Airlines Selects Flydocs
Brussels Airlines has selected Flydocs to provide end-of-lease return services for five A319s; it will build and audit digital records for the five aircraft.
