Alitalia and Etihad Airways have completed formalities related to transferring operations from the “old” Alitalia CAI to the new Alitalia SAI. Alitalia SAI has been set up as a corporate entity in which Etihad has acquired its 49% equity stake. Assets and liabilities have been transferred to enable the airline to maintain its operations.
