Chinese carriers reported a collective net profit of CNY1.9 billion ($309 million) in October, up 32% compared with the collective net income of CNY1.43 billion in the same period last year. Operating revenue increased 8% to CNY37.1 billion while expenses rose 7% to CNY31.4 billion. Industry analysts credited lower fuel prices as the main reason for the profit increase.
