US President Barack Obama said he intends to nominate Peter Neffenger, the vice commandant of the US Coast Guard, to be the next head of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Neffenger, a vice admiral who assumed the number two position at the Coast Guard in May 2014, would replace John Pistole, who retired as TSA administrator at the end of 2014.
