Jets small and large fly over Abu Dhabi for Formula 1 finale

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was held at the weekend, the pinnacle of the 2016 Formula 1 championship. Etihad Airways is host sponsor and as part of the ceremonies, did a flyby in conjunction with the UAE National Aerobatics Team, Al Fursan (The Knights).

Al Fursan, which formed in 2010, uses Aermacchi MB339 jets. Etihad brought along one of its Airbus A380s for what you might call the little & large jet show.

You can see video of the flyby here.

On the ground, meanwhile, British driver Lewis Hamilton won the Grand Prix, while German Nico Rosberg clinched the 2016 F1 world championship; both drivers are on team Mercedes. (With apologies, I wrote earlier that Rosberg won the Abu Dhabi race).
