Thanet District Council in the UK county of Kent will consider raising a compulsory purchase order (CPO) to reopen the loss-making Manston Airport, which closed May 15. At the end of the day, its license was revoked and 144 jobs were lost. The site remains the property of Scottish transport millionairess Ann Gloag who bought the airport for £1 ($1.68) last November.
