Star Alliance continues to open renovated branded lounges in key markets where no member carriers have a main hub.

On May 7, the global airline alliance re-opened its branded lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport in France.

The lounge was first opened in 2008.

The 980 sq-m facility offers seating for more than 220 guests and features stylish elements inspired by Parisian design and architecture.

The lounge is located behind passport control in Terminal 1 at the highest point of the terminal building—levels 10 and 11—and provides a panoramic view of the airport from the upper floor.

The Star Alliance member airlines that operate from Paris CDG Terminal 1 are: Aegean Airlines, Air China, Japan’s ANA, Asiana Airlines, EgyptAir, Taiwan’s EVA Air, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Turkish Airlines and Chicago-based United Airlines.

The lounge also offers an exclusive zone for first-class customers traveling on Air China, Singapore Airlines and Thai Airways.

In addition to CDG, Star Alliance also has branded lounges in Amsterdam (Netherlands); Buenos Aires (Argentina); Los Angeles (California); Nagoya (Japan); Rio de Janeiro (Brazil); Rome Fiumicino (Italy); and Sao Paulo Guarulhos (Brazil).

In total, 21 Star Alliance member carriers operate from Paris CDG, offering 142 daily flights to 41 destinations in 25 countries. The carriers include Aegean, Air Canada, Air India, EVA Air, Air China, Ethiopian Airlines, Adria Airways, Lufthansa, LOT Polish Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, EgyptAir, ANA, Austrian Airlines, Croatia Airlines, Asiana, SAS Scandinavian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airlines, Turkish and United.
