Alitalia (AZ) resumed flights between Rome Fiumicino (FCO) and Tripoli Thursday, after an eight-month suspension. AZ 868 landed in Tripoli at 2 p.m. local time with 100 passengers on board. AZ is the first EU airline to restart commercial (passenger and cargo) service to/from Libya. Currently, flights are operated to Tripoli Mitiga, but in the next few days operations will shift to Tripoli International.
