The first worldwide cargo joint venture (JV), begun Dec. 1 by German Lufthansa Cargo (LHC) and Japan-based ANA Cargo, is already a success for both partners. “With a joint venture like this, you get benefits and opportunities which you would just get within a merger,” LHC chairman and CEO Peter Gerber said in Tokyo.
