Aeroflot’s grounded Ilyushin Il-96 caught fire June 3 while parked at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport. The aircraft, RA-96010, was at a remote parking place at the north part of the airport. There were no passengers, airline or airport representatives near the aircraft when the fire broke out. The fire did not spread and was quickly extinguished. The airport continued normal operations.
