Embraer opened two manufacturing centers in the Portuguese cities of Évora; Embraer Metálicas and Embraer Compósitos. The two centers will manufacture complex airframe structures and components in metallics and composites and are valued at €100 million ($129.8 million) and €77 million, respectively. Construction on the 37,100 sq. m. and 31,800 sq. m. facilities began in 2010. They are expected to reach full production capacity in the second quarter of 2013.
