Air Transport Poll Question: Jan. 17

UK regional carrier Flybe will continue flying after its owners pledged further funding and a rescue deal was reached with the UK government, including a review of UK air passenger duty (APD) tax.

Flybe was on the brink of collapse, less than a year after the airline’s operations were controversially acquired by the Connect Airways consortium, made up of UK long-haul operator Virgin Atlantic (30%), transport and infrastructure investor Stobart Group (30%) and investment fund manager Cyrus Capital Partners (40%).

Was the UK government right to extend a "tax holiday" to Flybe? Vote below.
