US airlines reported only three flights in July with tarmac delays of more than 3 hr., compared to 161 flights in the year-ago period, the US Dept. of Transportation's Bureau of Transportation Statistics reported Monday. BTS said the turnaround came with only a slight increase in the rate of cancelled flights.
