The A380 'controversy' is more a storm in a tea cup. If the plane has not been delivered to Qatar Airways, then it would not be unusual for the airline not to bring it to an air show.
This would open a can of worms. These groups conveniently forget that big international organisations like Google, Apple, and Amazon have been doing exactly that.
