An Antonov An-12 freighter belonging to Azerbaijan airline Silk Way Airlines is reported as having crashed in southern Afghanistan on May 18 with multiple fatalities. Reports state that the cargo aircraft, which is said to have been on lease, was carrying at least nine people when it crashed at around 1830 local time.
