Kenya Airways (KQ) has named Mbuvi Nguze as its new MD and CEO to succeed Titus Naikuni, who will retire at the end of November. Nguze, who is currently COO, will take up the new position Dec. 1.

In January, the board of directors hired international executive search firm, Spencer Stuart Ltd., to assist in identifying a successor to Naikuni, who has led the airline for 11 years. “The board will lend its full support to Mr. Nguze in leading the KQ team in running the company business,” Kenya Airways said in a statement.
