Results have been published from Lufthansa’s long-term biofuels test program, known as the burnFAIR project, and showthat fuel burn was slightly less than with conventional jet fuel. During the burnFAIR research project, a Lufthansa Airbus A321 flew eight times daily between Hamburg and Frankfurt from July 15 to Dec. 27, 2011.
