Airbus announced the sale of its Laupheim plant to Diehl and Thales effective Oct. 1. The manufacturer had selected the partnership as its preferred bidder two months ago (ATWOnline, June 3). Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed. The Laupheim facility employs 1,100 and produces cabin linings, crew compartments and air ducts for the A320 family, A330/A340 family and the A380.
