For the second time in less than a month, US Airways received a financial boost from a Regional airline holding company, announcing late Monday that it reached an agreement for a $125 million equity investment from Republic Airways Holdings to help it emerge from bankruptcy. In return for the investment, Republic has the potential for a deal to operate Embraer 170/190 aircraft for US Airways and to take over some of the assets of MidAtlantic, a US Airways subsidiary currently operating 170s. ...
