HEICO subsidiary Seal Dynamics has completed the acquisition of certain assets and liabilities of Quest Aviation Supply of Chatsworth, California. HEICO expects the acquisition to be accretive to earnings within the first year after the closing. Quest supplies parts to repair thrust reversers on CF6-80s, RB-211s, CFM56s and V2500s.
Romania’s Air Bucharest Transport Aerian has contracted the continuing airworthiness management of its Boeing 737-300 to Arpiem Aviation Services in a four-year deal. Arpiem will use Commsoft’s OASES to maintain the 737.
FlightSafety International promoted Robert Standley to an assistant manager at the company’s Learning Center in Dallas, Texas. FlightSafety also appointed Paul Kuchta to director-training operations. He will manage the implementation of policies and procedures related to the company’s aircraft maintenance technician and cabin safety training programs.
PEMCO World Air Services delivered a Boeing 737-400 passenger-to-freight conversion to SwiftAir partner Air Ghana in May. It is the first of several converted freighters planned for delivery over the next three years. The 11-pallet freighter was converted at PEMCO’s headquarters in Tampa, Florida.
