Boeing delivered 137 commercial aircraft in the first quarter while securing gross orders for 220 aircraft during the three-month period.

Net orders for the March quarter stood at 209, led by 153 net 737 orders, which compared with 410 net orders booked by Airbus in the first quarter.

The US manufacturer’s first quarter deliveries were led by 102 737NGs and also included 24 777s, six 747s and four 767s. Boeing delivered just one 787 in the quarter before the worldwide Dreamliner fleet was grounded Jan. 16 and deliveries of the aircraft were suspended.
