Following a delay in the launch of its Chicago O'Hare-Beijing route, American Airlines announced that the four-times-weekly service will begin May 25, becoming daily July 3, aboard a three-class 777. The service previously had been slated to commence May 4 but AA did not receive "viable" time slots; it initially was allocated 2:20 a.m. arrival and 4:20 a.m. departure times (ATWOnline, April 27).
