China’s Chengdu Airlines has launched its first passenger flight of the Chinese-made ARJ21 regional aircraft on a route from Chengdu to Shanghai. The ARJ21 is built by the Commercial Aircraft Corp. of China (COMAC). Chengdu Airlines, which has 30 ARJ21s on order, took delivery of the first of the type in November 2015.
