The downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 over eastern Ukraine in July 2014 was definitively caused by a BUK surface-to-air missile, according to the final report of the Dutch Safety Board (DSB) issued Oct 13. The report into the tragedy, in which all 298 passengers and crew were killed on board the Boeing 777-200 en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, did not attribute blame or responsibility for the incident.
