Spirit AeroSystems named Larry Lawson to president and CEO, replacing Jeff Turner who is expected to remain on the board. Lawson, formally EVP-Aeronautics for Lockheed Martin, will assume his new position April 6. Turner has served as CEO since the company was formed in 2005.

European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) appointed Patrick Ky as executive director, effective Sept. 1. Ky is currently executive director of the Single European Sky Air Traffic Management Research (SESAR) Joint Undertaking and has driven the set-up and execution of Europe’s ambitious air traffic management modernization program since October 2007. Ky will succeed longtime EASA executive director Patrick Goudou, whose term ends Aug. 31.

Airbus announced it has appointed Véronique Creissels as head of communications, effective in early June. Creisselsis former head of group communications at Vallourec. At Airbus, she will oversee communication activities as brand strategy, media relations, internal communications, exhibitions, events and hospitality as well as web and images.

Air New Zealand has named Calum Laming to the newly created role of general manager- customer experience. Laming was formerly head of guest experience for Etihad Airways.

A J Walter Aviation has appointed Christian Duhain as managing director-Asia-Pacific. The former non-executive director and will spearhead AJW group’s business interests in Singapore.

BOC Aviation named Claire Leow as head of investor relations and corporate communications, succeeding Elsie Ng who joins the Treasury department as VP. Ng succeeds Saeed Quadri who joins the aircraft sales team as VP.
