A Vueling (VY) aircraft landed at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport (AMS) Wednesday after reports that it had been hijacked were dispelled by the Spanish airline.

A Vueling (VY) aircraft landed at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport (AMS) Wednesday after reports that it had been hijacked were dispelled by the Spanish airline. According to the BBC, Dutch F-16 fighters were scrambled after reports the aircraft had been hijacked. But VY told Reuters there was no hostage situation and said the incident resulted from a miscommunication between the pilot and the control tower.
