US carriers’ on-time performance (OTP) in April improved 10.8% over the same period a year ago, and up 4.1% over March (ATW Daily News, May 21). The US Dept. of Transportation’s (DOT) Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) reported that the 15 carriers that log OTP data posted an overall OTP arrival rate of 86.3% in April, up from 75.5% in the year-ago month and March’s 82.2% rate.
