UK aerostructures specialist GKN finalized a deal to buy Sweden’s Volvo Aero, the aero engine division of Volvo AB. The British company paid SEK6.9 billion ($1 billion) to acquire the Swedish company, which designs and manufactures components and sub-assemblies for aircraft turbofans.
