American Airlines (AA) plans to hire more than 1,500 new flight attendants over the next year.

American Airlines (AA) plans to hire more than 1,500 new flight attendants over the next year. The carrier will begin the recruiting and hiring process in November, with the first new-hire class beginning training in January 2013. “For the first time in over a decade, American is seeking to add more than 1,500 new flight attendants who we believe will bring new perspectives to the airline," AA VP-inflight service Lauri Curtis said.
