Frankfurt Airport strike to end Wednesday night

Frankfurt Airport said that the five-day strike of 200 apron workers will end Wednesday night after the union agreed to start pay talks again Thursday (ATW Daily News, Feb. 22).

Just over 1,000 flights have been canceled since last Thursday. Lufthansa (LH) said it lost high double-digit million euros in turnover since last Thursday and affected 55,000 LH passengers.

On Wednesday, LH expected to cancel 165 domestic and intra-European flights. Also, on Thursday, LH will have to cancel some flights because of interrupted aircraft rotations.
