Mitsubishi Aircraft Corp. has appointed its president Hideo Egawa to chairman and CEO, effective Jan. 1. Egawa will be immediately succeeded by current Mitsubishi Aircraft Corp. senior EVP Teruaki Kawai as president and COO. The aircraft manufacturer in July announced it would remanufacture parts for the Mitsubishi Regional Jet following procedural issues at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. First flight of its 70/90 seat regional jet is slated for the fourth quarter of 2013.
