GOL gained partial regulatory approval for its acquisition of a previous competitor, Webjet. The purchase price is estimated at $37 million. GOL announced its intention of acquisition July 8 and the stock purchase agreement was made public Aug.1. The National Aviation Agency (ANAC) has approved the deal, but antitrust regulator CADE still needs to sign off.
